Often, the password you use to sign in to your email and myAT&T are the same. Even though you might get your email at att.net, you’ll always manage your email password on att.com (myAT&T).We can help if you lost your email password and want to reset it, or if you know your password but want to change it.

I don’t know my password and can’t sign in

If you recently changed the password for your AT&T User ID, try to sign in to your email using that new password. If that doesn’t work, reset your password:

Go to myAT&T.
Select Forgot Password?
Complete the password info.
Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts.If you choose temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
Create your new password.

Att Forgot Password If you know your current password, log in to your Bellsouth account using the AT&TLog In page (link in Resources). Select "My Profile" and scroll to the Set Personal Password section. Enter your current password in the Current Password field and then enter and confirm your new password in the provided fields. Click "Save Changes" to finish changing your password.

Resetting Your Password
If you can't remember your password, you need to reset it before you can select a new one. Click the "Forgot Password" link on the AT&T Log In page (link in Resources) and enter your full Bellsouth email address in the User ID field. Enter your last name, click "Continue" and select how you want AT&T to help you retrieve your password. You can request the receipt of a temporary password or you can answer a few security questions to authenticate your identity. The first time you log in to AT&T Webmail, you will receive an error message telling you that your login has failed. Your log in has not actually failed. Instead, AT&T is retrieving your Bellsouth messages and importing them into your new AT&T account. Wait at least five minutes and then log in again to view your Bellsouth messages.

For resetting your Bellsouth email address with temporary password:

Go to att.com/emailreset

Under forgot user id/password section select password

Enter your full BellSouth email address and your last name

Click continue

Under select reset, method choose to receive a temporary password

You can receive your temporary password via text message or email. Select any one of them and continue

Find and enter your temporary password and continue

Now create the new password, confirm it and select continue

Go to att.com/emailreset

Under forgot user id/password section select password

Enter your full att email address and your last name

Click continue

Under select reset, method chooses I'll answer my security questions.

Answer your security question and continue

Now create the new password, confirm it and select continue

How to change ATT.Net email Password
If you know your Bellsouth email address and you want to change your password:

Go to ATT login page and use your Att email credentials.

Go to My Profile and select Set Personal Password section.

Enter your current password, new password and confirm the same in the relevant fields.

Click Save Changes to finish.

Account is locked due to the wrong password
If your account is locked, it may be due to the wrong password being entered too many times. Following are the options to regain access to your account:

Wait for an hour and try to access your email again.
